Ukrainian-born Kostia Lukyniuk is an accomplished soloist and chamber musician with a multigenre approach to violin playing. He made his solo debut in 2009 with the Chernivtsi Philharmonic Orchestra after winning 1st Prize in the International Youth Music Competition. Since then, he has won various other musical competitions and performed concerts and solo recitals throughout his home country of Ukraine and neighboring countries Romania, Russia, and Czech Republic.

At the age of 18, after performing at the National Philharmonic Hall of Ukraine, Kostia came to the United States to pursue his dream and study with Professor Oleh Krysa at the Eastman School of Music. He graduated the school in December of 2021 with Bachelor's degree in Music and a Performance Certificate.

Kostia maintains an active performing schedule, having played in cities throughout the world such as Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Poltava, Ternopil (Ukraine), Paris (France), Seoul (South Korea), New York City, Nashville, Washington, Charleston, Boise (USA), San Jose (Costa Rica), etc. In 2019 Kostia received 2nd Prize and the Audience Prize at the 3rd Oleh Krysa International Violin Competition in Lviv, Ukraine.

In parallel with studying classical music Kostia has been experimenting with all kinds of contemporary styles on the violin in a pursuit to find his own musical voice. He's been performing at various places around the world - from the street corners to restaurants, clubs and luxury corporate/wedding venues. Kostia finds that the diverse palette of sounds the violin is able to produce is perfect for playing popular hits and even jazz and rock solos. He has been a member of a couple of Rochester-based bands like ZBTB (Zac Brown Tribute Band) and Big City. Kostia is currently a band leader of an instrumental funk/RnB band - Positive Vibez.

Kostia is the ambassador for musical hardware companies like Myers Pickups and 3Dvarius Violins.
